Lassard is a very talented gelding with excellent movement. He is a very good jumper and would excel on the cross country course as he has had extensive dressage training. He is a very personable horse and is easy to handle on the ground. He loads well, is great for the farrier, stands well in the grooming stall, lunges happily. He could be described as a sensitive horse as he is quick to respond to the riders leg. He has been ridden both inside and outside, in indoor and outdoor arenas as well as hacked outside. Lassard was born at our farm as we are breeders of Oldenburg horses. His sire, Lampion was imported from Germany and is by the well known Landor S and out of a Pilot mare. Lampion himself competed very successfully in the jumper and dressage rings. He is known for producing attractive, good moving, and athletic offspring. The Dam, Julianna MV is registered as a Swedish Warmblood. Her sire, Johanitter, was imported to the USA from Sweden and Julianna is a product of transported semen. She is still being used as a successful broodmare. Lassard has been well schooled at our farm by a German Riding Master. He is ridden 4-5 days per week, and free jumped once per week. He has received excellent dressage training, so has quite adjustable striding for jumping. He has a happy, bold, forward attitude in all facets of his life. He would be best suited for an intermediate rider or a rider in a regular lesson program as he has lots of "bells and whistles" to be accessed. He is ready for the next facet of a competition career.
