Unique gaited, five-year old, 15 hand, Mangalarga Marchador looking for new home. I am looking for special home for Elegante because of retirement. He moves well out on trail and in arena. Elegante side passes, knows his leads, backs up, and has a great stop. He has extremely smooth gait with excellent balanced rocking horse canter. He stands politely for mounting and has kind, gentle disposition and loves attention.
Elegante is one of the smoothest gaited horses I've ever ridden. He is sure footed, athlective, and sound with hard, well developed hooves. Best suited for advanced beginner in training program or an intermediate and up rider because of his youth.
I started elegante out on trail at Tolay Regional park and he is showing great attitude, nice forward movement, and willingness for learning new experiences. He has been exposed to bikes, strollers, large noisy trucks, traffic, and all park activities. Elegante shows great aptitude and willingness to learn. Not only is he fun to ride, he attracts attention wherever he goes because of his shoulder length thick mane and flowing tail. His unique Spanish heritage shows in his elevated movements and attentive kind nature.
