Ferdy is a 9 year old registered Gypsy Vanner Gelding that stands 14.3 hands tall. If you’re looking for an insurance policy and a best friend then this ones for you. From english to western Ferdy does it all, he even ground drives and is ready to be hitched! He’s had several months of dressage training, show experience and trail miles. Ferdy is 100% beginner, kid and toddler safe no matter your skill level or horse experience. He has been used for lessons as well as apart of a therapy program!
Ferdy has been rode by a 9 year old little girl as well as adults, for the last several months. He has packed the little girl on her first trail ride, in town and all over our obstacle course. Ferdy is the type of horse that you can put your little kids on and let them ride independently and out alone without worry. He has been shown in the halter at multiple fairs and conventions.
Ferdy is ready for any adventure that you can dream of. He goes over, under, and though any type of water, terrain and obstacle. Ferdy is 100% traffic safe! Even ride him through your favorite local coffee shop drive through.
In the arena Ferdy has all the buttons a person could ever want and is uncomplicated to ride. He has all basic lateral movements, collects in the bridle and softens in the rib cage. Ferdy has flawless gate transitions off voice and seat commands. Ferdy will lope around on a loose rain if you’re riding western, side pass, and stops with ease.
At the stable Ferdy is an absolute blast to own. He stands to be tied, tacked and bathed. He picks up all four feet, loads and unloads easily, is easy to catch in the pasture and isn’t pushy on the ground. He gets along great with other horses, as well as our other animals such as cows, donkeys, dogs etc. An added bonus of purchasing Ferdy is he has his “built in lead ropes” where he will lead with his mane, or follow you with liberty work.
