Oberon is a life time horse that is a proven trail partner and can go any direction. He is a stunning tri colored 4 year old half 14.2 Gypsy Vanner half Arabian gelding. He is super sweet and loves snuggles, has a good mind, loves cuddles and has had a foundation that few horses get anymore (see photos). He has been hauled all over, gone camping, packed and ponied through rough terrain and cliffy Colorado trails and is surefooted. He has put on quite a few miles in the rough Arizona terrain under saddle as a 4 year old. (See videos). He has had lots of natural horsemanship training, excellent ground manners and joins up nicely. He has excellent ground manners and ground ties perfectly still while you are saddling him. He also will stand anywhere you tie him and not fidget. He has beautiful gaits that have a very nice cadence to them. He has the Arabian smarts and he gets things really quickly if you explain it correctly and he also has the gypsy vanner calm. He has an extended Arabian trot to die for and the gypsy cadence. He has a nice canter as well. He has HUGE wonderful size 3 feet and is good for the farrier. He has been exposed to hikers, bikers, motorcycles, dogs, big horse groups, riding alone, deer, moose, water and more(see videos). We've had mountain bikers hit jumps on the trail in front of us and land, skidding to a halt and Oberon stands there and waits for me. He has also been started on driving and would make an insanely good cart horse with more training. Oberon has been started slowly and correctly with a professional trainer. He has been in training for 5 months and was started under saddle when he was a 4 year old. He will not be crippled later in life due to us starting him lightly and correctly. He is green under saddle and light and not a beginner horse at this time. He could be later in life. He could be a family horse with time as well and loves kids. He responds to your seat very well and has excellent walk trot transitions. He bends nicely and collects and extends off of your seat, hands and leg. He has started in lateral movement (side passes very willingly, turn on haunches/forehand and back up). He would excel at working equation, western dressage, NATRAC or really anything you set his mind to. We haven't started on canter work much except on trails because our arena is trashed due to this continually crummy weather. Oberon is for sale through no fault of his own. Honestly I wasn't expecting to list him so I don't have many good photos of him. He is gorgeous with a mind to boot. I have some videos as well. He would be a $50,000 in a month or two of training if he had papers but I can not get them on him. He can not be registered but I know his parents and bought him from his breeder. He is someone's forever horse that they can get at a great price for the quality that he is. I had trouble choosing which photos to upload so if you are interested and want more please write me!
