Are you looking for the very best, top-of-the-line imported Friesian? Valkyrie is the picture-perfect representation of what the breed possesses. From her conformation to her temperament to her movement, she is truly a one in a million gal. We imported Val from the Netherlands in January 2017. She is an approved STER mare, goes back on both top and bottom with STER and Pref Sport in all of her bloodlines for multiple generations. She is exceptional in every way! She is not super tall, at 15.1h, but her presence is that of a 17 hand stallion! 11 yr old, Stocky, thick muscular build. Phenomenal conformation, correct legs and feet, uphill and forward movement. Long flowing mane, tail and feather. We have not shown this amazing girl, but she will excel in the Dressage Ring. Big swinging free walk, upright collected trot, incredible extension in her rising trot, fabulous canter, lifting through her withers with ease. Fabulous haunches-in, half-pass, straightness. She does everything asked with flash and pizzaz. We have had fun with her all over the US. We took the "horse trip of a lifetime" 2 years ago, up to Mackinac Island in Michigan. After 3 days traveling in a trailer to get there from TX, she didn't even hesitate to march onto the dock and then the ferry! Happily looked out the open window of the lower deck to watch the waves rocking as we went.... of course it was windy and very choppy water! We arrived on the island 45 minutes later, and she calmly walked back off the ferry, while people stopped to gaze at her majesty. I then mounted her bareback, and we marched through the busy streets, with hundreds of bicycles, horse-drawn carts, strollers with balloons and screaming children.... all with ease and confidence. WOW is all I can say!! A couple of months ago she was in the 4th of July parade in Red River New Mexico.... fire trucks, sirens, bands, nothing phased her. If you are looking for a solid, safe, sound, bold and beautiful girl, you will be noticed and gawked at, no question! Oh, and her best attribute: She's incredibly sweet, puppy-dog personality. Super loving and affectionate. Leaves her food and other horse friends to come and get some human touch. Loves the human bond, and craves deepening the relationship and closeness through liberty. Gets along great with other mares, geldings, foals.... never mareish, absolutely no vices or blemishes/scars of any kind. Remarkable in every way. The only reason for parting with this most amazing girl is MY lack of time. She desires and deserves more than I can give. I'm finding myself spending more and more time training clients' horses. She waits at the gate, hoping I take her next.... breaks my heart. She has only been treated with kindness, love and patience. An approved home obviously a MUST!
