Dantonia is a eye catching chestnut with flaxen mane and tail. She is an exciting dressage prospect due to her forwardness and sensitivity. She is nicely responsive to aids and learns quickly. Because she has been under saddle for only one year, for now she would do best with an experienced rider or one who works closely with a trainer. With natural balance and three good gaits, Dantonia should advance quickly up the levels. Though her trot is lofty, it is easy to sit. She trailers well, has good ground manners, and is very sweet in the barn. She adapts to new environments quickly and is expected to be an enjoyable horse on trails. Her pedigree for use as a broodmare is desirable - her grandsires are Don Schufro and Wildcard. She is scheduled to attend schooling shows this summer. Update: Dantonia did well at her most recent show! She competed in the USEF Intro C dressage test and Training Level 1. She received an 8 for Gaits and an 8 for Impulsion. She earned 69.25% and a blue ribbon! The judge commented "Lovely youngster".
